Elizabeth Smart

Elizabeth Smart was kidnapped by a couple Brian Mitchell and Wanda Mitchell.  She was brainwashed that that was her best or only option. 

Kidnapped from her home in the Federal Heights neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah, and kept hostage, brainwashed and tortured on the outskirts of Salt Lake City, and later, in San Diego County, California, is the story of Elizabeth Smart.  She was found only eighteen (18) miles from her family home.  Her captivity lasted approximately nine (9) months.

Sometimes brainwashing means washing your brain, you GOD DAM NED mess of society.

STOCKHOLM SYNDROME

Stockholm syndrome is the misconception that your persecutor is your hero.  Your knight in shining armor that saved you from the rest of the world who was victimizing you instead.

MUNCHASEN BY-PROXY SYNDROME

A very harmful mental illness where (typically, stereotypically) mothers fake illnesses or potentially poison their child(ren) in order to gain attention or have medical professionals give them sympathy of some sort.
